The renowned Duke Blue Devils coach will face his program’s most loathed opponent, the North Carolina Tar Heels, in the Final Four, with a trip to the Championship Game on the line. Sports scripts can sometimes write themselves.
The Tobacco Road rivalry is perhaps the best in athletics, with these two colleges separated by less than 10 miles. UNC fans and even former players have flocked to social media to make predictions and show support for the Heels as they hope to send Mike Krzyzewski out with a loss.

Prior to Saturday’s game, Joel Berry, Bryce Johnson, and Luke Maye all delivered messages to Tar Heel Nation, aiming to energize the fans while also making subtle jabs at the rival school just a few miles away.
Much of it goes unstated, in part because it doesn’t have to: these two sides are fierce enemies, after all. What else needs to be said about UNC’s potential to put an end to Coach K’s career?
Is that a direct call to action? Obviously not. But you can bet the trash talking is going on.
