Stephen A. Smith can’t avoid poking his nose (and offering his opinion) into a contentious situation. A startling moment occurred during the 2022 Oscars telecast on Sunday, March 27. Fans weren’t sure if it was real at first because it was so bizarre.
Chris Rock joked about Jada Pinkett-Smith being in “GI Jane 2” because of her shaved head during his presentation of the Best Documentary Feature prize.
Pinkett-Smith has been open about her alopecia, which has enraged her husband, Will Smith. The actor stood up and marched up to the platform, striking Rock, then said, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth,” all of which was censored on American television.
It was later uncensoredly disseminated through a global broadcast.

Now, Stephen A. Smith (not related to Will or Jada) has chimed in with his own take on the situation.
On Twitter, he added, “What Will Smith did tonight was straight bulls**t.” “Congratulations on winning the Academy Award; he deserved it.” And I adore and admire my younger brother. But, my, was that a disgusting crime he committed tonight?
Going up on stage and slapping Chris Rock. He’s fortunate that he didn’t get booted in the a** after the event was over. If it weren’t for Chris Rock and the others he had with him, they wouldn’t have been there. Damn, I’m serious.
